Sarah Schrier, BSc, RD, CDE

Regular physical activity and sports have been a part of my life since a young age. From competitive swimming and High School rugby to recreational running, I have always enjoyed participating in an athletic lifestyle. My ongoing interest in living a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and activity pushed me into becoming a Registered Dietitian.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition degree at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, and my Dietetic Internship with Hamilton Health Sciences. For the last three years I’ve been working as a Registered Dietitian in a primary health care setting. My role is a combination of individual nutrition assessment and counselling, and group facilitation for individuals with; Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, Gastrointestinal issues (Crohns, Colitits, Celiac, and IBS), bone health, weight management, nutrient deficiencies, and many other nutrition related concerns.

I enjoy working with a variety of client populations to help meet their nutrition needs and inquiries. As a Registered Dietitian I am regulated and supported by the College of Dietitians of Ontario, and use evidence-based practice to promote nutrition information and services.

In my three years of experience I have had a chance to work with clients who are interested in sports/athletic performance and nutrition. I find working with these individuals fascinating, figuring out their appropriate nutrient requirements to help meet their athletic performance, weight management, and strength gaining goals.

I am excited to collaborate with Royal City CrossFit to help meet the athlete’s optimal health and performance through nutrition and dietary changes.
